The Distribution Manager at b8ta is a logistics nerd with supernatural organizational skills who is responsible for the management of all activities at our distribution and fulfillment center. What you’ll be working on

  • • Receive and unpack parcel and freight deliveries
  • • Inspect deliveries for damage, compliance with orders and instructions
  • • Package, wrap, and arrange parcel and freight shipments out
  • • Record vendor and carrier performance and track over time
  • • Maintain databases of inventory, asset, and consumable items ensuring a high level of detail and accuracy
  • • Monitor product sales performance and establish replenishment schedule to minimize stock outs
  • • Perform regular cycle counts of inventory and verify with system data, reporting discrepancies and tracking over time
  • • Perform assembly and kit building for retail displays and demonstration equipment
  • • Receive, stage, and deliver large scale shipments for new store openings
  • • Plan and review all supply/inventory processes, functions and related systems
  • • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers and partners
  • • Compile reports and analyze inventory movements, sales data, etc. to anticipate future needs
  • • Place Consignment Orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
  • • Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw materials to identify shortages
  • • Assist in the execution of DC related projects, make recommendations for process improvements
  • • Manage warehouse associates/temporary employees. Monitor work and provide regular feedback and coaching
  • • Set daily, weekly, and monthly goals and assign tasks for associates/temporary employees. Ensure they are completed with accuracy and in a timely manner
  • • Maintain daily cleanliness and organization of warehouse, office area, and all assets

Responsibilities

  • • Manage all warehouse operations in support of physical retail outlets and e-commerce business
  • • Initiate, track, and report on all stock movements, from order creation to final sale/delivery to an end user
  • • Develop best practices for distribution logistics, inventory and asset management, and reporting on the usage, quality and health of key systems
  • • Proactively and reactively troubleshoot inventory issues and provide excellent customer service to our internal clients

Requirements

  • • Minimum 2 years warehouse supervisory experience in small to medium sized organization
  • • Previous experience with Supply Chain logistics in the retail industry is a plus
  • • Forklift Certification is a plus
