Transportation Supervisor - Night Shift at Clutter

We are looking for a reliable, process-oriented leader to oversee a growing transportation team of approximately 10-15 drivers. These drivers are responsible for transporting customer belongings to and from our dispatch nodes throughout the greater NY/NJ metro areas. The Transportation Supervisor reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Clutter’s evening and night inbound/outbound transfer operations from our South Brunswick, NJ warehouse
  • Manage a team of transfer drivers throughout the night
  • Oversee nightly utilization and maintenance of regional fleet
  • Utilize computer software to build and edit truck routes/driver schedules
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve for any operations/logistics issues that may arise
  • Ensure proper training of new and existing employees
  • Maintain high levels of process adherence and customer service through audits and quality reviews
  • Lead team check-ins/huddles and provide updates on company policies and procedures
  • Conduct interviews with prospective new team members and make hiring decisions
  • Weekend Availability: Work 5 days per week, with one of those days a Saturday or Sunday

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Comfortable working evening and/or overnight shifts
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility concerning hours & shifts
  • Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
  • Comfortable with technology (e.g. navigating a computer, iphone App, Microsoft Excel)
  • Willingness to work hard and get your hands dirty at a fast-growing start-up
